Pressure Cooker Recipes

I am in LOVE with my Pressure Cooker.  Honestly, the pressure cooker is something I think should be in every busy wife’s kitchen.  Why?  Because my pressure cooker has consistently delivered delicious healthy meals VERY quickly.  A couple things that I think the Pressure Cooker has no equal to in a standard kitchen are Beans and Pork Ribs.

Beans are so creamy and evenly cooked when they come out of a pressure cooker.  And Ribs are literally fall off the bone (the bone pulls right out).

A tip about cooking meat like Ribs or chicken: I personally remove the meat from the pressure cooker when it is ready and tender.  I then broil it to get it browner.

Now, here are some amazing recipes I rounded up for you.  Let me know what you think.

  1. I have a microwave pressure cooker. Am going t try the bbq ribs. Love them!

    • Please let me know how they came out. I have wanted to get a microwave pressure cooker, but haven’t tried it yet.

  2. I, too, love my pressure cooker. In fact, I have two of them. One, electric and one stove top. I use, both of them all the time. My favorite recipe is risotto. The rice comes out perfectly every time.

  3. My electric pressure cooker is the best thing that I have ever bought for my kitchen! I use it all of the time and my family loves the results. I tell everybody that they need to try one and they will love it too. Of course, I still use my “old school” pressure cooker for canning, but for quick, easy meals, my new pressure cooker is the bees knees!

  4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my pressure cooker. It is so easy and fun to use.
My favorite recipe in it is a pork roast with apricot preserves. The preserves
make it soooo tender it melts in your mouth.

  5. Joy, electric pressure cookers are actually MUCH easier to use than stovetop models. They do all the work for you: you just program them how long you want them to pressure cook, and at high or low pressure, then hit start. They do all the work of heating the unit, and then maintaining the pressure cooker, plus they have a built in timer to let you know when its done pressure cooking.

Personally, I love making mashed potatoes in the pressure cooker. ;D

  6. Ok, Ok, I am gonna confess……………Yes, I have a pressure cooker, no, I do not use it. I just haven’t ever learned how! Mine is even electric. I think I might even be more comfortable using the kind my grand mother used to use. It is just so intimidating, to me anyway. I think I will at least try a recipe, maybe the Beefy Cheese Pasta. If I get up the nerve I will let you know………ugh!

  7. Thanks for including me! :)
