Chili Dog Casserole
Sometimes, you need to feed a crowd but you don’t have a lot of time to do it in. Chili Dog Casserole is the perfect throw together dish when you just don’t have time for a big fancy meal. I always have the ingredients around for a pan of it, and often I have a pan of it in the freezer just waiting to be baked. Chili Dog Casserole has the best of what you love on a chili dog, in an easy to bake pan that will definitely feed a crowd.
Ingredients for Chili Dog Casserole
I start off my Chili Dog Casserole with tater tots. They get crispy, and form the perfect crust for the toppings. I prebake them in the pan before topping with hot dogs that are cut up into coins. Next comes some chili dog sauce. Everyone has their favorite sauce. Mine is a homemade sauce that has been handed down to me through my family, which, of course I didn’t have any of for this dish. So I grabbed a couple of cans of Hormel Chili No Beans. Find the sauce you like best and use that in Chili Dog Casserole for the best dish you’ve had. The sauce is topped with diced onions and cheddar cheese, making this just like your favorite chili dog.
