Cinnamon Spice Muffins

Cinnamon Spice Muffins in a Jar

I love to give useful gifts at Christmas, especially when they are ones that I’ve made by hand.  When I found a recipe for wonderful spice muffins, I knew they would be something I could make and put in Mason canning jars as gifts for family and friends.  They are super simple to make and you can have them ready in just a few minutes, so if you need a few last minute gifts, these are perfect!  Cinnamon Spice Muffins even ship well with a little bubble wrap around them.

Making Cinnamon Spice Muffins in a Jar

It’s a snap to make Cinnamon Spice Muffins in a Jar.  I place the dry ingredients in a jar, shake it up a little, then place a little baggie filled with the topping ingredients on top and seal it up with a ribbon or scrap of fabric for a beautiful gift.  The muffins take ingredients you have in your pantry, like flour, baking powder and soda, sugar, and spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and ginger.  All you need is a Mason or other pretty jar and some card stock to write the instructions on.  Super simple, super fast, and super delicious!

Changing Up Cinnamon Spice Muffins

I love to make these muffins a little different for each person, based on their personal tastes.  The easiest way to do that is to add a little bit of dried fruit to the mix, such as apples, raisins, blueberries, or even cranberries.  Just a quarter cup is all you need to turn Cinnamon Spice Muffins in a Jar into something personalized for each receiver.  They will love that you took the time to make something just for them and Cinnamon Spice Muffins in a Jar is so perfect for that!
