Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino

Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino at Home Saves Big Bucks!

Ever wonder how you can save big bucks with just a small change in your day?  I cut my coffee beverage bill down from $5 to less than $.70 per day just by making my Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino at home.  And all it takes is a few minutes.  This recipe is as close to Starbucks as I can get them with regular ingredients.  Think about it.  I was spending around $25 plus tips, so around $30 per week on coffee beverages.  By making Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino at home, I’m spending around $3.50 for that same week’s worth of beverages.  I am seriously saving about $26.50 PER WEEK!

Ingredients for Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino

The ingredients are pretty simple.  I have a Keurig coffee maker, which I use a lot!  You can get a My K-cup for it and use your own coffee, or get the cups that are prefilled.  (They are great for crafts after, and you can save up the coffee grounds for use around the house!)  Choose a coffee that you enjoy and make it strong.  The stronger the flavor, the better it will be with all the milk, sugar, and ice.  You can use whatever milk you like in your Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino.  I chose half n half, as I like the creaminess of it, and since it is going to mix with the ice, I think it works better.  But any milk works, from skim to whipping cream, and almond, soy, and coconut milks too!  Choose what you like.  If there is a flavoring you like, add it in!  I like my Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino sweetened with some chocolate on the top, so I don’t add any flavoring other than my raw sugar, which has a bit of a caramel flavor to it anyway.

Flavor Ideas for Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino

There are a lot of options when it comes to flavoring your Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino.  Chocolate is my favorite, which I obtain by using some hot cocoa mix and chocolate syrup.  Torani syrups are popular, not only in coffee shops, but for home use.  They have every flavor you can think of, from coconut to peaches to salted caramel (my favorite).  It doesn’t take much of the syrup to flavor your favorite brew!  I also like to use a handmade caramel sauce that I find at farmer’s markets.  It’s up to you!  Let your imagination run wild.  Peruse the baking section of your favorite grocery for sprinkles and toppings you’ll love.  Even marshmallow fluff is amazing in Copycat Starbucks Frappuccino!
