Simple Ingredients for Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes

There are only four ingredients in Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes. The first is the base of oil. I like to use solid oils with these, as they hold together better. Oils like coconut or shea butter work awesome in Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes. Coconut oil can be found at any grocery store in with the other baking and cooking oils. Shea butter can be found in health food stores as a hard pure butter in with the other lotions. Make sure you get pure butter and not a lotion though! Grated soap is added to the oil and melted for another hardening agent but also for the wonderful lather it produces when you use the cubes. You feel clean and moisturized after using Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes! Use an unscented soap if you are scenting your Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes, or use a scent you love! Brown sugar of course makes an appearance. You can use white sugar, but I like the texture and scent of brown sugar better. The last ingredient in Brown Sugar Scrub Cubes is the scent. I’ve found that essential oils, a pure scent oil from plant sources, works fantastic. You can find them online, but I love going into a health food store to sniff them all before I decide. For this batch, I used orange oil and ylang ylang oil. The orange provides a bright, sunny note and the ylang ylang is a rich, somewhat musky floral. Pick scents you like and play with them!

You can do just about any scent combination you’d like. If you are partial to famous scents, try looking at BrambleBerry or Lebermuth. They have all kinds of scents from many different stores.
