Monkey Bread

Easy Monkey Bread is Easy

Back in the day, it took hours to make a good batch of Monkey Bread.  You had to make the bread dough, let it rise, roll it into little balls, then in butter and cinnamon sugar.  Then it had to rise again before you baked it.  Now, there’s Easy Monkey Bread, ready in minutes and tasting just as good as the original.  The secret is a tube of biscuits from the refrigerated section of your favorite grocery store.  It makes Easy Monkey Bread a piece of cake to make, and even the kiddos will love to help get everything ready.

Cream Cheese Frosting for your Easy Monkey Bread

What’s better on top of Easy Monkey Bread than cream cheese frosting?  The creamy flavor is amazing with the cinnamon in the Monkey Bread, making the combination perfect.  It’s super simple to make too!  Just a little bit of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla blend together to make an amazing frosting that you might not just use for Easy Monkey Bread!  It melts down over the top of the bread, getting into all the nooks and crannies for a perfect breakfast.  I just love the gooey flavor.

Additions to Easy Monkey Bread

There are a lot of things you can add to your Easy Monkey Bread to change it up from time to time.  Instead of cinnamon, try pumpkin pie spice or mix the cinnamon with cardamom.  Add some chopped nuts for a crunchy texture, or dried fruit such as blueberries or cranberries for a tangy taste.  Change up the cream cheese frosting on your Monkey Bread by using almond flavoring instead of vanilla, or even a little Kahlua or Bailey’s Irish Cream to make it special for a celebration.  Easy Monkey Bread has so many ways to make it amazing, and it all starts with a tube of biscuits.

Believe it or not, I’ve never had monkey bread – but I’m pretty sure that’s about to change! This would be the perfect size for the family too…and NEVER can I resist cream cheese frosting! Thanks so much, Lessie.
