Making Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps

While most rolled chicken dishes are coated in some form of breadcrumbs, I left Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps plain and you’ll see why in a minute.  I started Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps with thinly sliced chicken that I found on sale at the grocery store.  This really saved me a lot of time.  Swiss cheese gives the dish a lot of flavor, so opt for a better quality Swiss for maximum flavor.  A mixture of sautéed Portobello mushrooms, onions, and garlic topped the cheese before the Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps were rolled up and secured with toothpicks.  Then came the topper: Italian style diced tomatoes.  I spooned them over the Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps before I baked it and the flavor boost they gave was amazing!  I had these ready in about 15 minutes, from start to oven-ready, making them a favorite meal in my home!

  5. Spoon the tomatoes over the top of the wraps.
  6. Bake, uncovered, for 40-45 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
  7. Serve with your favorite sides.

Making Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps Ahead

You can make Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps a day ahead and hold them in the refrigerator, or you can make them ahead and freeze them when you find chicken on sale.  Either way, make sure you seal them tightly so that you don’t get dried out chicken.  Simply leave the tomatoes off in either situation, and add them when you go to bake the chicken.  You’ll have an amazing dish that family and guests will love with Chicken Mushroom Swiss Wraps.
