Green Chile Cheese Burgers

If there is one thing I love more than a good burger, it is a good cheeseburger.  And then add to that my favorite flavor in the world, green chilies, and you have the most fabulous burgers ever.  They are amazingly juicy and tender.

They are incredibly easy to make too.  You can even make them ahead of time and leave in the fridge all day until you get home to cook them up.

Make sure you have all the condiments on hand that you love on your burger.  For us, it is:

  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Onion
  • Mayo
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Green Chile Cheese Burgers

Green Chile Cheese Burgers


  • 1lb 93/7 Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Can (approx 1/4th cup) of Green Chiles (I like the Hatch chiles and MILD!)
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded medium or sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients
  2. Form into 4 even patties
  3. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side (or until there is no pink left in the middle)
  4. Serve up with your favorite condiments.

  6. Simple and delicious. I roast fresh peppers and mix them with the meat and serve them atop the burgers. SO GOOD!
