Teriyaki Kabobs

Quick Easy Summer Meal with Teriyaki Kabobs

Quick, easy meals are always on my radar, especially when they are delicious and family friendly.  Teriyaki Kabobs are the perfect summer meal for your grill and your tastebuds.  You can add whatever veggies are your favorites, or what might be abundant in your garden, or you can stop by a local farmer’s market and pick up something new.  In just a few minutes, you can have dinner ready for the grill and in the time it takes to cook the Teriyaki Kabobs, you can have a salad ready to go with it!

Meat Choices for Teriyaki Kabobs

Just about any meat that can hold up to grilling is great in these Teriyaki Kabobs.  Chicken, beef, pork, even salmon works fantastic in this fantastic dinner.  I always trim my meat very lean, as the sauce adds a bit of fat that makes the Teriyaki Kabobs absolutely amazing.  Cut the meat bite sized, so you can take it from the skewer to your mouth for ease of eating.  When placing it on the skewers, alternate it with the veggies so that you have an easy time keeping the meat on together.  The meat will also do well to flavor the veggies just a bit.

Teriyaki Kabobs Recipe

  • 2 lbs meat, cut bite sized
  • ½ jar teriyaki sauce
  • 1 sm bag baby sweet peppers
  • 1 onion, halved then quartered
  • 1 fresh pineapple, cored and cubed
  • 1 pkg baby bella mushrooms
  • metal or bamboo skewers (soak bamboo skewers in water)

  1. Place the meat in a gallon sized plastic zippy bag. Add the sauce. Seal and shake to coat.
  2. Allow to marninate for 15-30 minutes. (The more time, the better)
  3. Skewer the meat, alternating with the veggies until all the skewers are full.
  4. Grill over medium-heat until meat is done to your liking.
  5. Serve with a salad and rice, or your favorite summer side dishes.

Timesaver Alert!  Teriyaki Kabobs Can be Made Ahead of Time!

If you’re already cutting meat, it’s just as easy to cut a bit more.  You can easily cut twice the meat, and freeze half in the sauce!  All you have to do is take it from freezer to fridge before you leave for work in the morning!  When you get home, dinner will be ready to be speared and grilled.  Teriyaki Kabobs will be on the table in 30 minutes or less!  Seriously, can it get any better than that?  Your family will love the amazing flavor and you’ll love the lack of prep work!

So grab the skewers, some meat, and veggies.  Teriyaki Kabobs will be on your table in minutes!
